ESSECOLLECTION, conceived and curated by Simone Sacchi, is the fruit of over three decades of passionate collecting, scholarship, and engagement with contemporary art. Through years of careful acquisition, the collection traces an arc across artistic movements and generations—from historical works of significance to the freshest voices of the here and now.
Simone Sacchi has established ESSE COLLECTION not merely as a private accumulation of artworks, but as a dynamic cultural presence. His pieces have been lent to prominent public institutions — including the Museo Madre in Naples, Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan, the Lombardy Regional Palace, MAMbo in Bologna, the Royal Villa of Monza, and the Palais des Expositions in Paris (notably for exhibitions on the legacy of 1968). In addition, many of his works have featured in private galleries and shows in cities such as Milan, London, Paris, Dubai, Mexico City, Austin, and New York.
While the collection spans several decades, its most recent phase is especially dedicated to the hyper-contemporary: acquisitions of works by young, emerging artists whose practices reflect current urgencies, new media, and evolving conceptual frameworks. It is in this way that ESSE COLLECTION continues to bridge past and present, offering a platform for artistic innovation, historical memory, and dialogue across cultures.
